Manufacturing Engineer

Job description Roles/Responsibilities: A Manufacturing Engineer will work directly with both the design engineering and operations team during development of new products to ensure cost targets are established and design-for-manufacturing considerations are taken into account. They will be involved with the development of production and test equipment. They will analyze current production processes, machines, and plant layouts to develop and implement more effective manufacturing processes and machinery to maximize quality and efficiency. Duties: Work with design team to make design-for-manufacturing recommendations Participate in product design reviews and production intent unit builds to validate work instructions, test equipment and procedures Design changes to production assets to allow more effective product builds Perform cost-benefit analysis of recommended changes when needed Pinpoint causes of production problems and implement or recommend changes Create and build cost models for quotation purposes Coordinate with suppliers to ensure deliverables such as cost and timing are met Create bill of materials within ERP Manufacturing time studies and labor estimation Skills/Experience: General understanding of mechanical and electronic products and assembly standards (IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD for assembly and inspection) Relevant experience with handling and assembly of sensitive electronic assemblies Ability to work across departmental boundaries Lean techniques Qualifications/Education: Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline and/or 5+ years of experience Must be a U.S. person Ability to travel up to 30% of the time Job Type: Full-Time Job Type: Full-time Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year Schedule: 8 hour shift Application Question(s): In compliance with ITAR, Riverside Mfg., LLC can only hire US Persons.
